Bakugan Battle Brawlers Deluxe Monster Series 1: Dragonoid
The popular and fun anime TV series “Bakugan Battle Brawlers” has spawned a variety of toys, including a strategic game and a series of Deluxe Monster figurines, such as this Dragonoid, one of the Bakugan Deluxe Monsters. This figurine is based on Bakugan monsters from the TV show, who look fearsome but use their powers for good. Your child aged four and older can play with this sturdy, colorful monster completely independent of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers game, or can use it to add excitement to their Bakugan battles (though the monsters are not officially part of the game.)

Children who are fans of the TV show will get special pleasure out of playing with the Dragonoid figurine, who is the “guardian” Bakugan for Dan–the show’s hero. But even children who don’t watch the show will get excited about this fiery figurine, whose giant wings, scaly tail, and dagger-like horn make him an extremely impressive and intimidating monster.
No Rules, Just Fun
No assembly is required for the Dragonoid–just cut it free from the box and it’s ready to go! Unlike the Bakugan Battle Brawlers game, which has somewhat complicated rules, this monster figurine can be used however your child likes. If your child is a fan of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers game, he can position Dragonoid and other figurines around the game play area just for fun. But the figurines are not necessary to play the game. If your child doesn’t own the game, he can easily make up his own games to play with the monsters.
Chunky and durable, these figurines don’t exactly fit in a pocket, but they are still lightweight and easy to take to a friend’s house. Dragonoid comes with a detachable tail, which is long, scaly, and curls around the front of his talons.
Hours of Monstrous Entertainment
Each monster figurine has its own distinct look and individual powers. Dragonoid can spread his arms to create an impressive wingspan, or close them in tight for self-defense. He can charge with his frightening-looking horn or stand erect as his open mouth breathes pretend fire.
We like most everything about this figurine, from its cloth wings to its blazing red and yellow colors, to the way its mouth opens and closes. We also appreciate how well this figurine stands on its own, while also easily contorting into a variety of battle-worthy poses.
We would have liked to see some background information about Dragonoid included on or in the box, but there was none. Kids who are familiar with the TV show will know all about Dragonoid already, but others will have to make up their own stories about him or do some sleuthing on the Bakugan Web site. Luckily, kids have great imaginations, and we think this frightening Bakugan with his immense talons and dazzling yellow horn will inspire hours of entertainment–especially when used with other Deluxe Monster figurines.

2 Stars Headless Dragon
This toy looks great, but the head broke off right away. It didn’t last but a few minutes. It looks great if our grand kids just wouldn’t play with it. Two other toys in this series that we bought for them were more durable.
5 Stars Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Dragonoid
My grandson received all 4 Bakugan action figures for Christmas and was absolutely thrilled! I was impressed with the size f the action figure and some of it’s moving parts. Which still allowed for him to use his imagination and not have yet another electronic toy that does all the playing for him. Excellent toy!
4 Stars Nice toy
My son got this toy for Christmas. He was asking for it. It is larger than I expected which was good. My son has enjoyed playing with it. He has acted out stories and so it stimulates his imagination. The wings on the toy are a weak spot. The wings have to be handled with care a little bit or they can rip so I am told. lol. This is not a toy that can be used on the game board. It is an action figure.
1 Stars head falls off
This toy lasted less than one day. One drop and the head fell off. Not well made at all. Disappointing Christmas gift!
